Problem: Microsoft wanted to implement a first of its kind statewide accessible software design
competition.
Solution: Butler New Media, along with the GA Committee implemented the Microsoft Accessible
Software Design Competition. Teams of students with disabilities from across the state designed and
implemented accessible software programs. The winning team received an all-expense paid trip to
Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington where
they were able to meet real Microsoft programmers.
